米雪生於一個小康之家，她今日擁有快樂、樂觀的性格好可能來自她童年成長時是開心快樂的。米雪有九兄弟姊妹，家中排行第四，與兄弟姊妹感情相當好，她上有連續三個哥哥，接著是個弟弟，喜歡與哥哥出街玩，每次出街，她總是走中間，而哥哥們散開集合，東南西北站在她身旁，使她象個女王，非常受到疼愛。米雪小時候喜歡讀書，志願是做警察，有好打不平的心，經常替同學出頭。
米雪中學時參加了邵氏無線電影電視藝員訓練班，而她亦好有興趣在娛樂圈發展，訓練期間曾參予了許多大型電影中的臨時演員，如“十四女英豪”、“大軍閥”等。訓練班畢業後加盟佳視，參加了金庸名著《射雕英雄傳》飾演黃蓉而大受歡迎，而那套劇更使她紅到泰國、印尼。後來加入麗的（亞視電視）電視，拍過多套膾炙人口的劇集，如“古都驚雷”、“大內群英”、“武俠帝女花”、“太極張三豐”等等。
自七六年至九十年代可以說是米雪的搏殺期，對電視演出亦有份狂熱熱誠與喜歡。而九十至2000年，可以說是米雪的享受期，生活與事業都是開心的，可以自由選擇自己喜愛的工作，演過幾套膾炙人口的舞臺劇，分別是“美人如玉劍如虹”，而且“我和春天有個約會”更演足一年，又演出“風流醫生手尾長”與李子雄合作演出一百場，與謝雪芯演出“虎渡門”。
現時米雪仍然以享受人生爲主，但不會不拍戲，因爲既爲興趣，賺到錢可以保障自己之餘，又可以幫到有須要的人。現在米雪每天的生活仍很忙碌的，有空會找朋友飲茶聚舊，閑餘時間學古箏，去老人院探望公公婆婆，幫他們剪頭髮，過時過節亦會表演給他們看。
本年的二月份參予了香港電臺的“閤家歡家長渡航日”的電視節目，與李子雄再度合作，演出以教育青少年爲提材的教育短劇，一直保持單身的米雪演得非常稱職，劇內是個聰明的太太，及一個有智慧的媽咪。如果你在香港坐巴士，好可能見到巴士上的電視裏就是她啊。而在五月十一日起，米雪應香港電臺電視部邀請，於逢星期日中午12點45分主持“資深市民俱樂部”，一向敬愛長者的米雪，當然主持得相當稱職及美得讓觀衆眼睛雪亮。最難得的是米雪親自教受“至fit錦囊”，提供健康小帖士。 (寫於：2003年6月） 補充:自從2005年后，米雪主力於無線電視 ，同時活躍於中國大陸。 2008年恁《溏心風暴》之《家好月圓》獲得最佳女主角獎。 2009年，分別獲得新加坡的“亞洲電視大獎-最佳女主角”獎，及廣州南方衛視的“最受歡迎港台女演員獎”...

Michelle Profile
The 80s could be considered as golden heydays of Michelle, where she
contributed a lot to the tv circles. As the 90s till the 21th century,
will be her relaxing years. She was freed from hard work, as she is able
to do her own things now. For example, she took part in the stage
performance such as Cyrano De Bergerac, My Date With Spring, The Dissolute
Doctor, and opera-like Hu Du Men. My Date With Spring was even performed
for a year.
Now, Michelle is enjoying her life as a carefree person, but that does not
mean that she will not take up filming. NO WAY! As acting has been her
interest since young, she will never give up on acting. Also, she thinks
that the money earned from the filming not only be able to secure her, but
also can donate to the charity. It is indeed killing two birds with a
stone. Though carefree, Michelle keeps herself busy too. Besides going out
with her friends, she also helps out at the old folks’ home where she
helps to trim or cut their hair. She did learn some musical instruments
like zither. Whenever there is special
occasion, Michelle will perform in front of the elderly to keep them high
in spirits.
On February of 2003, Michelle took part in an educate-teenagers show. Her
co-partner is Lee Zi Hung. This time round, Michelle acted as an
intelligent and pretty mother. If you ever take a bus in HK, you will probably get to watch her in the TV on the bus.
From 11th May, every Sunday at 12.45pm onwards, Michelle
will be hosting the show held by HK Television Broadcast. Michelle, who
had always respect the elderly, was praised of her profession hosting and
her ravishing too. In addition, Michelle even imparts her tips of being
healthy in a HK programme show.
P.S.: Since 2005, Michelle Yim has been focusing on her acting with TVB, whilst at the same time she is also actively involved in the China market。 In 2008,Michelle Yim won the Best Actress award for her role in "Moonlight Resonance"... In 2009,Michelle Yim won the "Best Drama Performance by an Actress" Award at the Asian Television Awards held in Singapore and the "Most popular Hong Kong / Taiwan Actress" Award on the Annual Gold TVS Awards 2009 held in Guangdong, China.
